Yellowstone

Ok,

So,

Yes,

Well…

Sometimes there are just no words. At least no words that do it justice, so I’ll make it easy and NOT write. I’ll just let the pictures do the talking.

Presenting….

I said ‘I’ll simply write these posts
With not a word inside them’
I said and said and said those words.
I said them but I lied them.

We were driving two cars.

Baby Alien and Thing One were in one car. Thing Two, Myself and Mini Me were in the other. When we got to Yellowstone the boys drove on while the girls stopped to take pictures…

This tree…
Talk about photo bomb!
You didn’t know a tree could do that did ya?
That or it forgot it’s V8
Whaah?

A little up the road the boys realized we had fallen behind and stopped to wait while we caught up.

There stood Thing One staring us down with his mean older bro stare. We trembled as we approached, knowing full well we were in some kind of trouble– a whole lot of trouble and that starts with T which rhymes with P and that stands for pool. Maybe even a pool of blood. You never know with Thing One.

“Look” He said. “If you stop at every scenic turnout to take pictures we will never get out of here. This place is huge.”

We hung our heads in shame, got back in the car, and reluctantly followed his strict and stringent military orders… (He does outrank us in every way, shape & form.)

ONWARD!

SIR YES SIR!

Old Faithful

Old Faithful Erupts…

Old Faithful erupts without fail roughly every 30 minutes
(Give or take 15 minutes)

Exploring Yellowstone

They say this geyser is dormant… I just don’t trust the ‘they’.
RUN AWAY PEOPLE!
The Crew

Wildlife in YellowStone

This guy lost his herd.

We found it

Turns out Thing One was right. The place is HUGE.

Ocean Lake

onward!

To be continued…

I know! The entire video was almost three minutes long. I shaved it down. It’s hard to believe that Old Faithful is so faithful! 😂 ❤️

It was so fun! I’m sad it’s over but I’ve enjoyed reliving it through the posts. I’m also ready for another one… maybe i can talk Thing One & Two into it and we might even get my little bro to join us. That one is the life of the party— when all four of us get together it’s… watch out!

The pictures are so amazing and 10/10 captions as usual! Love the tree photo bombing that one picture, who knew nature could do that too?? 😂💕

Wow Beck! Those are spectacular, truly!!! And of course you couldn’t be quiet and we would have all been sad without your usual commentator. Good thing you didn’t listen to militant thing Brother or we would have missed out on your truly great pics.. love your little mini me and mom pic. What camera do you use?

Thank you Cindy! Right before we left I got a new phone— the iPhone 11. All the pictures were taken with my phone camera— ahhhmazing! It was worth the cost of the phone which I had to give my arm, leg, left lung, and spleen to purchase. But like I said it was worth it! 😂
I have trouble keeping my mouth shut at times… 😝

An amazing place Beck, with so many amazing sights. However, I found the Buffalo to be the high point of my visit

Bill! I have seen your buffalo pictures and yes hands down your experience is the best! 😂
I hear you train then too. A lost art. Your talent amazed me!!!

Awesome! We took a family trip there in Summer ’19. It was everything and more than I remembered since my first time there in the 80s. Looks like you saw a moose, or was it an elk? Nice work with your photos.

I want to take my husband and older two kids back (mini me too of course) maybe next summer. And spend more time, not just a one day drive through. There is so much to do and see.
    That was a moose.
    Thank you so much Reid!

Haha! I know— This guy sure didn’t mind holding up traffic either. But you know… it’s his territory so he can do what he wants! 😀
    Thanks Silk!

Beck, thank you for this beautiful and enertaing post! <3 Gorgeous photos! They brought back great memories!

Our family spent a few days in Yellowstone when my children were young. We went for a horseback ride and saw a grizzley bear. A thunderstorm began threatening about halfway through the ride, and we turned back. The bear was in the same spot where we had seen it half an hour earlier. The conscession didn't take our money since we couldn't finish the ride, although I felt that we had gotten our money's worth! 🙂

Have a great day, Beck!

Oh wow! The horseback riding I would have loved. I want to go back and spend a week there with my husband and kids. There is so much to do and explore.
    A grizzly bear! Lucky you.
Thank you so much Cheryl and have a great day!

Beautiful. My son and his family went there a couple of years ago. Great stuff.

I’m inspired! Thank you.

Nice to meet you, Beck! I whole heartedly agree on how sometimes there are “no words that do it justice”. Your words “Thing One & Two” made me smile. We were in New Zealand last year and Yellowstone reminds me of some of the areas we visited. Stunning photos. You have an interesting and beautiful blog and I have subscribed to your site. 🙂 Erica

Erika, than you so much! I appreciate your comment and your support.
No words can do it justice— that is almost always the case when it comes to nature. But still I can’t help myself!
    Many blessings to you!
