Love is Action

You can only give what you have.

For example, you can’t give someone one million dollars if you don’t have it. You can say you will give them one million dollars but your words fall flat when your action doesn’t follow.

Likewise, you can’t give someone love unless you have love in your heart to give. You can say you love but your words fall flat when your action doesn’t follow.

This turns love into a verb. A doing, an offering, an allowing, a being…

Love as action is the best kind of love, but as always, it starts with the self. Actively loving the self is the only way you can truly love the other.

And to those who fear that the love they offer will be rejected, I ask you this… If someone offered you the unconditional kind of love, would you run away from it?

Be (the action kind of) Love!

“Love as action is the best kind of love, but as always, it starts with the self.”

So eloquently put and it’s so true.
