I Want To Quit!

Daily Dose #44
Some days I don’t want to put one foot in front of the other. Those days I feel like throwing in the towel for good.
Have you ever felt that way?
Of course you have; it’s part of the process! Life is, after all, a really long journey.
Do you know what I think it is?
I think it’s the roses talking– desperate to get our attention.
Wanting to quit doesn’t mean you’re weak, lazy, incapable, inadequate or a loser. If you want to know the truth, I think it might mean, you just passed by the most beautiful rose bush ever and forgot to stop and smell them.
“Quit!” the roses yell.
But their message is completely misunderstood. They don’t mean quit forever. They simply mean quit for now. Perhaps they can sense you are too wrapped up in where you are headed, and so they beckon you to enjoy the beauty in front of you.
That’s the purpose of a rose you know.
But the roses might actually be working a deeper magic in their call for you to quit. Because sometimes when you stop to smell them, if you listen to their silence, they end up offering you a more scenic route!

Beautiful post! I will pay attention to the roses 🌹….and daily, I listen for the sound of silence.
Silence offers us so much doesn’t it? It’s a true gift!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It means a lot to me. Be blessed!
It’s my pleasure ~likewise 💕
Good post
Thank you!
Welcome
Great Post! I think the roses are just God’s way of reminding us of our Creator and his creation.
Absolutely! And that it is there for us. What a gift! ❤️
Nice correlation and post. It’s not always easy to keep perserving or even get up. Somedays my mantra is just heal ball toe over and over again. You are so right Beck, roses make the journey worthwhile leading us to the road less traveled. They seem to be there for every occasion making days sweeter and join us at the end to take us home.
