I feel that when we don’t love ourselves in the first place it becomes rather very difficult to love someone else. And even if we are able to do it the relationship always feels like lacking something important. Your poem is quite right on point and it felt really good to read it. Many of us suffer from low self-esteem and especially in today’s world due to the negativity that is spread via social media and similar platforms. Though it can be hard. cutting out negativity and improving each day does help a lot to love oneself. I hope no one ever suffers from low self-esteem but I guess that is too good to be true.

Best wishes from The Strong Traveller and have a great day.

Yes, so true. It is my wish and hope that everyone could come to love – truly love – themselves first. Cutting out negativity is definitively the start. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you Beck for making me reflect on this. Loving oneself can be define and manifested in many ways. It can be gaining more knowledge, taking care of the body, giving more time for oneself than any other, living a pleasurable and satisfying life to the fullest, or attaining success by all means. So when is loving oneself be enough? When is success, pleasure, time for oneself, and knowlwdge be enough to prove we love ourself?

I guess, once we know what love is by loving ourselves, we have the idea or the way to love others. On the love other than ourselves, only GOD can change our hearts and perspective to truly love GOD and our neighbor. Blessings to you Beck!
